MoPictive Monthly Meetings continue at the Helen Mills Screening room - featuring 130 stadium-style seats, with a projection booth, 5.1 surround system, free food and soda, and an opportunity to meet and network with a wide range of New York City's best and brightest filmmakers.

Blackmagic Design

Frank Conti, President of OneSource Video, will discuss the recent NAB announcements from Blackmagic Design. This will include an update on the DaVinci on the Mac for $1k news, the new family of USB 3.0 capture and playback cards, the new HD Extreme 3D card and HDLink Pro 3D products and a number of other new products.

Frank Conti is the president of One Source Video. Frank received his B.S.E in Computer Electronics from The New York Institute of Technology in 1985. He is a certified Novell Engineer (CNE) as well as a Windows NT programmer. His background also includes certifications for Apple, IBM, Zenith, Epson, Iomega, Leading Edge, AT&T, NEC, and HP. Frank is a graduate of Dale Carnegie (1994). He is married with two children and resides in Central New Jersey.

Sorenson Media

Coby Rich, Marketing and Events Director for Sorenson Media, will cover the the new Squeeze 6 Final Cut workflow, including the integrated review and approval tools. He'll also cover web compression best practices and a few tips and tricks to get your online video looking amazing.

Coby Rich oversees the video production, advertising, marketing and all trade shows and events for Sorenson Media. Possessing a deep background in video editing, Rich loves to dig far into the nuts and bolts of encoding to get the best quality video possible. Previously, Rich worked in various marketing roles for companies such as LoveSac, SingleHanded and Rhodes International. Rich holds an MBA from Michigan State University and a BS in Public Relations from the University of Utah.


Short Film: CollegeHumor “CH Originals”

The production team from CollegeHumor.com will present a delightful medley of their popular comedy shorts, followed by a Q&A.

CollegeHumor is the #1 comedy site on the internet, showcasing hilarious original videos, articles, contests, and interactive features, as well as pictures and videos submitted by fans. The in-house writing and production team powers CH Originals, which delivers original, TV-quality comedy videos multiple times a week.


Ned Soltz: Ned’s Toy Box

Join us as MoPictive’s own Ned Soltz demos his favorite of the latest gear that has floated across his product reviewer’s desk. We never know what Ned’s going to pull out of his Toy Box!

Ned Soltz has over 25 years of experience in various areas of production and computer technology. He started using FCP 1.0 immediately after its 1999 release and has not looked back since. He was among the founders of the Los Angeles FCPUG. He likes to shoot, edit, and just generally support and troubleshoot the entire production and post production process. But Ned is really a gear-head at heart. He is a contributing editor of Videography and DV Magazine and is one of the administrators of 2-pop.com. The Soltz family just moved to Teaneck and looks forward to greater participation in the user group and production communities.
